MIYUNIM MUKDAMIM
Miyunim Mukdamim (Early Screening) is the early sign-up and interview process for certain Sherut Leumi places. This process occurs in December, several weeks earlier than most Sherut Leumi places. The Sherut places that require Miyunim Mukdamim have their own application/interview process. This is unlike most Sherut placements, in that sign up and interviews are not done through a Sherut Placement Organization (Bat Ami, Haaguda Lehitnadvut, etc.). Many of the Sherut Leumi organizations have tour guiding and Jewish identity placements that do not require Miyunim Mukdamim, so unless you specifically want one of the options listed below, it is easier to apply for standard sayarot through the Placement Organizations.
*Many of the sherut places available through Miyunim Mukdamim require a two-year commitment.
