Bnei Akiva Olami is a direct continuation of intensive work in communities outside of Israel. The climax of this is when students come to Israel for the post-high school Bnei Akiva gap-year program called Hachshara. Hachshara is split into many different programs, according to country of origin. There are programs that are more Torah focused and some that are less so. The job of the bnot sherut is to be a madrichot for the Hachshara groups, wherever they go, whether it be to Kibbutz, midrasha, volunteering etc. The bnot sherut are with the group throughout the entire year, including holidays and shabbatot, depending on the schedule of each program. Preference is given to girls who speak English, French, Portuguese or Spanish and is only for second-year bnot sherut. Bnei Akiva Olami runs the interview process. In order to apply, you must download the “tofesh rishum” from the Bat Ami website and send it to Bnei Akiva Olami.
