Bnot Sherut help in the various departments. In the inpatient wards, work includes answering telephones at the nurses' station internal and external lines, receiving messages and relaying them to the relevant people, help with organising and ordering equipment, taking tests to the head nurse to be delivered to laboratories, booking appointments at the kupat cholim for patients, distributing food and helping patients eat (after training from the staff), generally helping patients, ensuring a good environment, helping patients organise themselves towards shabbat, chagim etc. Bnot Sherut will receive training and always work in the presence of members of staff. There is also an administrative aspect to the teken, including entering information into a computer, and the secretarial staff will give guidance for this.
