The Na’amat residence is a home where battered women and their children, from all over the country, come for shelter. There are nursery schools for the women’s younger children, while the older children go to school in the surrounding area. The bat sheirut works with the children.

Working hours are split between the nurseries and the after-school club. From 8:00-14:00 the bat sheirut helps the children in the nursery, and from 14:00-18:00 she runs an after-school club for the younger and older kids. The responsibility of the club is solely on the b’not sheirut; they are in charge. The girls may also assist the women when applicable. The job is appropriate for a responsible girl who has a way with kids and can cope with complicated situations.
